Biokovo

Biokovo is the third highest mountain range in Croatia.

There is 23 km long road which leads to the top of mountain Biokovo.

Climbing to the top of Biokovo, we will reach many lookout points which offer magnificent view.

The highest point of Biokovo, and the third highest point in Croatia, is sv. Jure (1762 m).

DESCRIPTION:
Biokovo – mountain which begins in the sea and ends in the sky. Every step up to the highest point, sv. Jure (1762 m), will offer unforgettable panoramic view of the sea, islands, Zagora, Bosnian – Herzegovinian mountains and neighboring Italy.
Except of its position, Biokovo is also unique because of its geomorphology and its biological diversity, which were the main reasons for proclaiming Biokovo a Nature park in 1891.

Only one hour of driving from Imotski brings us to the entry of this Nature park, where Your adventure begins! You can explore Biokovo in many different ways, depending on Your wishes.

If you want to relax and enjoy in natural beauty with your family or friends, just take your camera and we move on to the top of this magnificent mountain. After one hour of drive, with casual stopping for taking photos and sightseeing, you reach the highest top. Nearby, there is a church of sv Jure to which you can take a walk.

There are several restaurants in the area of this Nature park where you can enjoy the rich offer of local specialties.
