Hiking at mount Biokovo

Biokovo – mountain which begins in the sea and ends in the sky. Every step up to the highest point, sv. Jure (1762 m), will offer unforgettable panoramic view of the sea, islands, Zagora, Bosnian – Herzegovinian mountains and neighboring Italy.

Except of its position, Biokovo is also unique because of its geomorphology and its biological diversity, which were the main reasons for proclaiming Biokovo a Nature park in 1891.

Only one hour of drive from Imotski brings us to the entry of this Nature park, where Youradventure begins! You can explore Biokovo in many different ways, depending on Your wishes.

The Park can be used for individual and organized hiking. Following the mountain-tourist map on the field, visitors can explore many paths and hiking trails. Based on their physical ability and according to their wishes, visitors can choose between easy, medium heavy and heavy hiking tours, as well as combination of walking tours with transport.

There are several restaurants in the area of this Nature park where you can enjoy the rich offer of local specialties.
