Medjugorje – Ethno village Herceg

Medjugorje is one of the most famous Roman Catholic pilgrimage destinations in the world. Annually, one million pilgrims visit Medjugorje. It became popular due to the apparition of the Virgin Mary, what led to the development of religious tourism.

It all started in June 1981 when six children claimed that they witnessed the apparition of the Virgin Mary, who introduced herself as Queen of peace and invited world to reconcile and live in peace.

It will take one hour from Imotski to come to the church in Medjugorje. Every day, there are Masses in many different languages (Croatian, languages of east countries, German, English, Italian, French).

According to your wishes, we will adjust our visit to Medjugorje to the time when the Holy Mass is celebrated in your language.

Except of the parochial church, pilgrims pray on the Apparition Hill- place where visionaries first saw Our Lady, and on the hill Krizevac –where are stations of the Way of the Cross.

If you want to meet with the priest or visionaries, tell us and we will try to arrange it.

On return from Medjugorje we will stop by to Ethno village Herceg- tourist complex with more than 50 stone objects built. Except of accomodation, this tourist complex includes Chapel, museum Old house, stables, bowling court, playground for kids, souvenir shops, Amphitheatre, restaurants and coffe bar. There you will forget daily stress of modern lifestyle and feel the simplicity and uniqueness of former, old-fashioned lifestyle.
