Mostar – Blagaj

Mostar is one of the most beautiful towns in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is special due to the diversity which can be seen in each part of the town. Different entwined nations, religions, cultures and traditions are part of everyday life.

We will drive through Bosnia and Herzegovina about an hour. When we come to Mostar, you will see many beautiful sites. Attractive charm of Old town, especially the part around
the river Neretva, will make you want to stay as long as possible. The bridge over Neretva is Old Bridge which, together with the Old town, has been the part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites list since 2005.

If you are an experienced swimmer, you can swim in the river Neretva. If you are also a good jumper, there is traditional jumping from the Old Bridge held every year in July. Very popular is Mostar Red Bull cliff diving held every year in September.

When you cross the Old Bridge, you will come to Kujundziluk which will attract you with its souvenirs, shops and handmade art works.

There are many mosques in the Old town, and the most significant is Koski Mehmed-Paša. It is also a tourist attraction, as well as museum and lookout point which offers magnificient view to the Old Bridge. Some of the most famous sights are Karadzoz- beg mosque, st. Francis church with highest bell-tower in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Biscevic sokak with famous Turkish house…

When in Mostar, it is pity not to visit Blagaj. There is source of the river Buna, which is the largest source of water for drink in Europe. Except of sightseeing, there you can enjoy the local gastronomic offer.
