Olive oil tasting

Olive growing, as well as wine-growing, is the most significant agriculture branch in Dalmatia. Imotski is a town where both of these agriculture branches are represented.

Inevitable part of gastronomic offer of Imotski is olive oil tasting.

Nearby the town is a family farm whose extra virgin olive oil has been rewarded with gold medals several times. Extra virgin olive oil is a high quality oil which provides complete delight by its taste and smell. Healing properties of olive oil are known from ancient times, so it is recommended to use the oil for cooking.

When you come to olive-grove, you will taste extra virgin olive oil, you will learn how to taste it orderly, to whIch smell and taste pay attention, how to recognise high quality oil and how to differentiate it from industrial olive oil. Except of olive oil tasting, there will be offered homemade dry-cured ham, cheese and homemade bread.
