Plitvice Lakes National Park

Plitvice Lakes is the oldest, the largest and most visited national park in Croatia. Surely, Plitvice Lakes can be considered one of the world's most beautiful natural sites. Its irresistible beauty was also recognised by UNESCO, which inscripted Plitvice onto World Heritage List as one of the first natural attractions included in the list. The lake system is comprised of 16 lakes, separated into upper and lower lakes. Water from upper lakes, across sparkling cascades, overflows into lower lakes.

It will take 4 hours to Plitvice Lakes, with occasional stops. When you come to the National park, you will feel overjoyed. The combination of water, greenery and stone will fascinate you.

Following the trails, we will come to the electric boat which will take you to the lake Kozjak. There you can relax on the green meadows, drink something in the coffee bar, buy souvenirs and enjoy the fresh air. Then, we will follow wooden trails through limestone canyon of the ''Lower Lakes'' and come to the Large (or Great) Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Croatia (78 m). From Large Waterfall to the train stop is steep hairpin- bend which leads to the eastern side of canyon, where are numerous lookout points which offer unforgettable view to the crystal lakes and high adjoining rocks.

Return to the start point is by panoramic train.
